The system will enable the patients to improve their health conditions by availing timely care. It would also provide them with the ability to be in constant touch with their respective doctors or medical professionals. The document is a system vision document for the project that focuses upon the problems, capabilities and benefits System Positioning Problem Statement There is an urgent need to transform the operations and practices that are involved in health care to allow the citizens of Australia to have a healthy life. There are various loopholes that are present in the current system in terms of availability and quality of services and the major reasons behind the same are increase in population without the same increase in the number of medical professionals, hospitals and medical centres. Problems of Current System The citizens of Australia face trouble with the healthcare services due to the vast population and the inadequate number of hospitals, medical centres and medical professionals. There are various issues associated with service quality and availability due to these problems Affects of the Problems Obtaining an appointment for consulting the medical professional or gaining admission in a medical centre or a hospital involves a large amount of waiting time and queues. Due to this there are often issues such as delayed medical attention that affects the health of an individual in an adverse manner. Also, the charges that are levied on the patients are increasing with each passing day irrespective of the deterioration of the quality of services.
